Due to an increase in work load and role changes in our current team, we are looking for a warehouse operative to work as part of a small and friendly team at our seed processing plant based in Pointon. The Job Role includes but not exclusive to:
- Cleaning out of machines (hoovering)
- Bagging Seed
- Stacking seed (using forklift)
- Picking & packing of product
- Loading lorries
- General warehouse maintenance
Counterbalance Forklift truck license advantageous but general forklift driving experience is favoured. (full training will be given to the right candidate)
Clean Full UK driving licence required
Job start date as soon as possible.
No holidays allowed from 1st August – 31st October (Agricultural Hours) 40 hours per week Seasonal overtime available

We have served the seed requirements of farmers and the industry alike since we started trading in 1959 providing high grade seed to both merchants and farmers nationwide.
As of January 2022 we are now concentrating on cleaning and treating both Farm Saved and As Grown cereal and pulse seed solely.
As seed processors we pride ourselves in our high quality seed cleaning and our efficient delivery service. Our aim is to provide the best services, of the highest quality, when the customer requires, at an affordable price.
We are more than just seed cleaners and treaters, we can add added value to your parcels of grain and pulses. We can provide cleaning and treating services of both bulk and smaller seed lots, organise haulage both in and out, and we also offer a full range of laboratory tests, all of which can be tailored to your individual needs.

PROCESSING
At our warehouse we have 2 separate seed cleaning lines, meaning we can run 2 different species at any one time. This provides a fast and effective turn around to all our customers and we can run both pulses and cereals simultaneously In one warehouse.

We can arrange haulage inbound and outbound, or if you'd prefer to bring the seed yourself, or organise your own transport then you can. Most of our haulage inbound is carried out by local firm Richard Gratton & Son, Whaplode, who have vast experience of transporting seed. Look out for our logo on their lorries !!

Meet the Team
Harvey Page
Managing Director
Born in the heart of Lincolnshire agriculture plays a major part in Harvey's life. Working on a local arable farm from the age of 17, a Scottish salmon hatchery on Loch Awe, followed by dairy experience on Roxholme Estates provided Harvey with a sound grounding for the future. Shuttleworth Agricultural College followed, with a National Certificate in Agriculture (NCA) and a National Certificate in Farm Management (NCFM). Harvey returned to run the seed growing farm for the A W Page business. At the age of 35 Harvey moved into the seed production side of the business, taking great pride in the quality of seed produced. Harvey is Managing Director and owner and continues to be the forefront of the A W Page business.
Helen Middlebrook
Operations Director
Helen has been with the company for over 12 years and has now achieved a variety of NIAB and BASIS qualifications within the industry, she also now holds her BASIS CertCropProt (Seed Sellers). Helen comes from a farming and equestrian background and originally started at the company as an Office & Accounts Administrator. Helen then took on the role of Seed Production Manager 3 years ago and as of May 2024 is now Operations Director. Helen is your main contact for any seed processing and production. Nigel George
Warehouse Foreman
Nigel joined the company in 2013 and has worked his way up through the different roles in the warehouse. Nigel holds his Counterbalance Forklift, LANTRA Rodent Control, First Aid in the Workplace & PA1, PA11 certificates.
Eddie Roberts
Warehouse Operative
Eddie joined the team in Jan 2024 and comes from an engineering/manufacturing warehouse operative background so has fitted in very well with the team here at A W Page. Eddie holds his counterbalance forklift and First aid in the Workplace certificates.
Lesley Watson
Office Administrator
Lesley Watson joined the company in July 2024 and has become an integral part of the team. Lesley is point of contact for any sales order queries, and administration matters. She comes from a hospitality background and has taken to the seed trade brilliantly, using all her expertise in customer relations in the AWP office.
